Automobiles in German Town Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Authorities mentioned they were alerted by a resident who found a car in Hanau covered with reddish substance

Roughly 50 vehicles have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postal boxes were vandalized, sometimes with swastikas, they reported in a statement.

Police state they were notified during the night on Wednesday night, when a man observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored fluid.

The liquid had been placed in the pattern of a banned symbol, they stated.

Officers then discovered numerous other smeared cars and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under regulations banning the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement report initial examinations show the substance was probably human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no lead as to its origin; officials are presently not aware of any injuries in relation with the occurrence," they added.

Local authorities said they were attempting "to resolve the mystery" and have appealed to the public for tips.

An important representative commented the incident rendered him speechless and had to be resolved promptly.

"This incident strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the extremist attack five years ago," he wrote on online, recalling the murder of nine people by a assailant targeting people of migrant background in five years prior.
